Guardian

Psalms 121:1-8(TMSG)
¹I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
²No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
³He won’t let you stumble, your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.
⁴Not on your life! Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep.
⁵God’s your Guardian, right at your side to protect you—
⁶Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke.
⁷God guards you from every evil, He guards your very life.
⁸He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.


How cool is this that the Creator of everything, is always watching over you and me. He never sleeps never slumbers. Jesus said He will never leave us or forsake us. I read this Poem this morning made me think how many times we really think we are alone. It talks about a broken heart. We have a broken hearts because we really don't think that anyone cares let alone a Guardian who Does!

Try again

        Nothing's going right today

but I still keep running as if toward a prize

I wish I could, if only I could

look past the bend to see the finish line

 I don't know how  

and I don't know why

but, I will give this broken heart

  another try   
to believe, to receive, and to give

And to give all I have left

receiving nothing in return and all I want (all I want)

is to be a part of something bigger than myself

I turn to God, I turn to faith, I turn to hope in the human race

I'm caught unaware

all I want to do is care

oh how I long

to sing from my soul

 ...
