Daily Vitamin -"Rock"

Rock

Psalms 62:6-7(TMSG)
6He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I’m set for life.
7My help and glory are in God —granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—

When we think of rock what's the first thing that comes to mind? Probably not God, but all through the scriptures He is referred to as our rock. What is rock? When you look it up the definition is minerals. We use the word to describe all kinds of things, music, people, even use it as a slang word for something that is cool, or for a feeling. Little boys like to throw rocks. We wear rocks of all kinds. Some people worship rocks, others  wash clothes on rocks. Our planet is made up of a lot of rock. We use rocks to build roads, houses, we use rocks every day.God wrote the commandments on stone(rock), He hid Moses & Isaiah in the rocks so that He could pass by. In the gospels Jesus spoke about the wise man building on the rock. When I think of rock, it's something of strength, hard, protection, solid. Then when I realize that God is all those things. He is my strength, my protection, my hiding place, my foundation so many ways God is My Rock in Him I shall trust. How many ways can you think of as God as your rock? Scripture even says it's better that we fall on the rock instead of it falling on us! I could give all kinds of examples about the word rock but i believe ii have given you enough to go chew on. Take some time today spend it with the Rock of your salvation Jesus. Then Go! and be a blessing to others, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Meet"

Meet

Psalms 43:3-4(TMSG)
3Give me your lantern and compass, give me a map, So I can find my way to the sacred mountain, to the place of your presence,
4To enter the place of worship, meet my exuberant God, Sing my thanks with a harp, magnificent God, my God.

In a world of GPS, mapquest, google, guidestar. We still need to find the place were we are to meet with God. we say were going to this meeting or that meeting. We go to church sunday's sometimes wednesday but do we meet up with God there. How many times do we plan on meeting God? We make plans to meet friends, family but do we take time to meet God. In Isaiah 1:18 God say's come let us reason together lets talk it over, in other words come meet with me. If you read on in that verse your sins were red as crisom but they will be white as snow. Then in verse 19 He says if you are willng and obeinent you will eat the best of the land (one of my favorite verse's) the whole point is you need to meet with God. Sometimes we have more meetings about lots of things and get nothing done, if we would have a meeting with God then He would give us the strategies  for all our other meetings. Take some time to meet with the CEO of your soul on a regular basis not just when things are tough or going bad. We tend to run to God when are lives are full of chaos or pain. I believe if we would take a Daily Vitamin of the Gospel with our Daddy God. We would avoid a lot headache's, heartaches, sickness and all the stuff that comes at us on a daily basis. Ink Time on your calendar for a coprparte meeting with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Speak"

Speak

Acts 4:18-20(TMSG)
18They called them back and warned them that they were on no account ever again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.
19But Peter and John spoke right back, “Whether it’s right in God’s eyes to listen to you rather than to God, you decide.
20As for us, there’s no question—we can’t keep quiet about what we’ve seen and heard.”

Ever notice how many times we have are commanded to use our vocal cords in scripture? Romans 10:10 says confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord. In Mark 11:23 the word say is used 3 times and believe is used once. There is power in the Name of Jesus and He has given those who have come to trust and believe in Him authority to use His name. Now how cool is that! We are told to call those things that aren't as they are. Even God spoke and there was light, water, earth, etc.. Peter and John couldn't help but to speak and do what they saw God doing. Jesus said He could do nothing except what He what he saw the father doing. My question to you is what is the Father doing? What does He want you to speak? Remember you have authority to speak on behalf of the King. Today use your voice and speak to the mountains, whatever they are be it cancer, worry, lack, doubt and tell them to go jump in the lake by  the authority and power of the  Name of Jesus that He has given you. Be a blessing today Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin -"Dream"

Dream

Acts 16:9-10(TMSG)
9That night Paul had a dream: A Macedonian stood on the far shore and called across the sea, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”
10The dream gave Paul his map. We went to work at once getting things ready to cross over to Macedonia. All the pieces had come together. We knew now for sure that God had called us to preach the good news to the Europeans.

We all have dreams, the question is do we remember them or even act on them. Some dreams are just bad pizza earlier in the day or stress in our lives. God gives us dreams, and ask us to join Him in what He's doing. In Paul's dream he knew God wanted him to go share the Good News of the Kingdom of God with the people of Macedonia. The dream gave him a plan to act on. Then he had to share it with those around him to help him accomplish the dream. What's your dream that God has asked you to join Him in? Who's going to help you accomplish it? In Habakkuk 2:2 write out the vision make it clear, so he who reads it may run with it (my version). So we need to let others hear, see, smell, taste of our dreams/visions, and those that catch them are the ones to help us accomplish them. A lot of the time we don't communicate them very well. I read a quote by John Maxwell that I Believe is very helpful

Any dream worth living is worth sharing with others. The person who shares his dream gets to watch it grow. The synergy of shared ideas often takes it to a whole new level. The dream becomes greater than the person launching it ever imagined it could be. And those who participate in it often adopt it as their own dream.
As you give others an opportunity to share your dream, paint a broad landscape for them so that they can catch your vision. Include . . .

  • A Horizon - to show the incredible possibilities ahead.
  • The Sun - to give them warmth and hope.
  • Mountains - to represent the challenges ahead.
  • Birds - to inspire them to soar like eagles.
  • Flowers - to remind them to enjoy the journey.
  • A Path - to offer direction and security.
  • Yourself - to demonstrate your commitment to the dream and to them.
  • Them - to show where they fit in and to communicate your belief in them.
When you are willing to share the dream by including others, there's almost no limit to what you can accomplish. The impossible comes within reach.

Today let's include others in our dreams, together we can change the world. be a blessing, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin -"Wisdom"

Wisdom

James 3:13-18(TMSG)

13Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom? Here’s what you do: Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It’s the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts.
14Mean-spirited ambition isn’t wisdom. Boasting that you are wise isn’t wisdom. Twisting the truth to make yourselves sound wise isn’t wisdom.
15It’s the furthest thing from wisdom—it’s animal cunning, devilish conniving.
16Whenever you’re trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others’ throats.
17Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced.
18You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.

We all are looking to gain wisdom. How many of us look at wisdom as a piece of paper hanging on the wall, or how many books we've read, or how many seminars we have attended. James says to get along with others is real wisdom, God's wisdom. That some times is hard pill to swallow, I've heard it said that that working with people, your hardest commodity is "people". Why is that? We all have grown up in different homes with different circumstances all trying to accomplish the same goal. "To have people like us!" In the world we live in now, with mobile phone's, Internet, ability to travel great distance's quickly or even move rather simply. People moving and living around the world, with different belief system and cultures, living next door to people we don't even know, let alone were they are from. With texting, Skype or Face Time, Facebook, Twitter, Google, blogs etc.... We still haven't gotten much better at communicating or getting along with each other. Yet James says the way to get real wisdom, God's wisdom is to get along with each other! Do you want/need wisdom begin to look around at the people you interact with daily, are you at peace with them? Even in our own homes at times we need to ask are we walking in wisdom. The end of chapter 3 says to have a robust community we need to walk in dignity and honor towards others. We can change the world by starting to get along with people, especially with those God brings into your life. Start by being a friend to the unfriendly and see your world change
Be a blessing , Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin -"Stand"

Stand
Then he was told, "Go, stand on the mountain at attention before God. God will pass by." and after the earthquake fire, but God wasn't in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper. (1 Kings 19:11, 12 MSG)

If you were told to go stand and wait, for God was going to pass by how would you respond? Would you go or stay. Let me tell you that God is going to pass by you today. So are you going to go out and wait for His whisper. Trust me it's worth the wait and He's not as scary as you think. Be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin -"Change"

Change

Mark 1:14-15(TMSG)

14After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee preaching the Message of God:
15
“Time’s up! God’s kingdom is here. Change your life and believe the Message.”

Ever thought about when the end will be? Why don't we put into practice that now is the end. John was put in jail, Jesus went on even saying times up the kingdom is here. I'm sure people though wow He's really off his rocker now. The Kingdom of God is here it's at hand, it's in you. Lets spend our days spreading the Good news that people can live in the Kingdom Now! its not just something in the by and by. Most people don't like change in fact the resist it if we would embrace it, renew our minds daily. Think on good things as in Philippians 4:8 puts itSumming it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." Change you thinking to good stuff, bad things happen to good people, but don't think the worse first. remember"Daddy God is Big Enough" to handle our stuff and to help us out if we will trust him in them.

          Resistance to change
If change and growth are not programmed into your spirituality, if there are not serious     warnings about the blinding nature of fear and fanaticism, your religion will always end up worshiping the status quo and protecting your present ego position and personal advantage--as if it were God! Although Jesus' first preached message is clearly "change!" (as in Mark 1:15 and Matthew 4:17), where he told his listeners to 'repent,' which literally means to 'change your mind,' it did not strongly influence Christian history. This resistance to change is so common, in fact, that it is almost what we expect from religious people, who tend to love the past more than the future or the present.
Richard Rohr

Take a look around today and see were you need change make the changes. Then Change the sign over your life to "No Vacancies" to sin, or stinking thinking., and be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Traded"

Traded
Genesis 25:29-34(TMSG)

29One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved.
30Esau said to Jacob, “Give me some of that red stew—I’m starved!” That’s how he came to be called Edom (Red).
31Jacob said, “Make me a trade: my stew for your rights as the firstborn.”
32Esau said, “I’m starving! What good is a birthright if I’m dead?”
33Jacob said, “First, swear to me.” And he did it. On oath Esau traded away his rights as the firstborn.
34
Jacob gave him bread and the stew of lentils. He ate and drank, got up and left. That’s how Esau shrugged off his rights as the firstborn.

What an interesting thing to trade your birthright for a bowl of soup. We think this is a ridicules, stop and think how many times we have traded, the things of God for a few minutes of pleasure or compromised our belief's to get ahead with a little money. Told a white lie so we would look better. I could go on and on! What seems silly to us giving up our right for some soup. We do all the time, thinking we will die, or the what if question. Jesus came and redeemed our birth-right back, He didn't just trade for it He gave up His life. So we could carry on!

Hang up a sign"Not for Sale" over your life and be a blessing, Sir Grgeory

Daily Vitamin -"Eyes"

Eyes

Matthew 13:16-17(TMSG)

16“But you have God-blessed eyes—eyes that see! And God-blessed ears—ears that hear!
17A lot of people, prophets and humble believers among them, would have given anything to see what you are seeing, to hear what you are hearing, but never had the chance.

We have physical eyes that we see with, but what about our true vision? We walk around in the dark, to the Spiritual world. God has given us eyes to see what He is doing to see the future, to have faith, hope and love. To be able to look to God for direction, to see people as they truly are, to have vision for the future, to see new invention, creative ideas. To take our faith in God and even move mountains
 Matthew 21:21-22(TMSG)
21But Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Yes—and if you embrace this kingdom life and don’t doubt God, you’ll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles. This mountain, for instance, you’ll tell, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it will jump.
22Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God.”

Wow! Can you even imagine what ability's we have if we truly would trust God and open up our eyes to see what He has for us. Instead of the worldly coming up with the creative inventions, movies, music, technology and even more. God's people being those that lead. instead of those that are behind. He did say we were the head and not the tail, didn't He?

Extraordinary Vision

We are the result of people who did not see the world as others saw it. In the midst of sweatshops, they saw workers rights. In the midst of slavery, they saw freedom. We are here because of people who had the extraordinary vision and the courage to stand up and do something about it. To me, what you see in the world is less a matter of the facts that are there, than more being a reflection of who you are. Your attitude about the world says nothing about the world, but speaks to your character.

Cory Booker

Let us have vision like the quote above. So we may be a blessing to those around us and to the world we live in! Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - " Change"

Change
Hebrews 13:8(TMSG)

8For Jesus doesn’t change—yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally Himself.

Change is an everday thing. We change our clothes, cars, foods we like, hair style/color friends, jobs, our thoughts the list goes on and on. I have a saying that goes "The God who Never Changes is always changing-us" He had a plan for us from the begining of time, He is always working on us to complete that plan. He's rarley forcefull but does give us gentle nudges. I would suggest that you take some time today. Look around and see all the changes that have taken place in the last year, month or even a day ago. Then look and see in what areas have you changed or didn't! (Most of us don't like change so we resist the very One who is trying to help us make the changes we need most despartly.) Then spend some time with Daddy God and ask Him were do I need to make some changes. Don't make changes just for the sake of change. Then start the journey with Daddy to fulfill your Destiny -His plan- for you to Change the World.

Remember He is our constant. Be a blessing today Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin -"Think"

Think

Romans 12:1-2(NLT)

1And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
2Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Ever ask what's God's will for my Life? I'm sure you have just like anyone who has made Christ their Lord and Savior. We want to know, but most of  us don't take the time to to really seek God, or let alone let Him change our way of thinking. So how do we do that, first of all I would say spend time with Him in prayer asking questions, spend time in His word, spend time with other believers (not just anyone but those you are close to and you  trust, people have good intentions but all aren't listening to God) discussing whats on your mind, your thoughts and plans. The verse above says if we allow God to transform how we think, then we will learn God's will for us. Now that's good and really isn't rocket science.  In Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the LORD. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”  Most of the time we stop at verse 11 but when we read on He says when you pray, seek Him wholeheartedly He will listen and restore us. I believe this is a key, we have been enslaved by our culture's thinking. Then we wonder why things get all crazy why can't we hear God or better yet we ask were is God when all along He's right there waiting on us. Today take some time pray and ask God what He truly wants for you. I bet you'll be surprised! I'm not going to tell you what he wants but I will say "It's All Good!"

Hebrews 11:25 says that Jesus lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. So why not take some time today and intercede on your own behalf. So you may be a blessing

Daily Vitamin -"Provides"

Provides

2 Corinthians 9:10-11(CEV)
10 £ God gives seed to farmers and provides everyone with food. He will increase what you have, so that you can give even more to those in need.
11You will be blessed in every way, and you will be able to keep on being generous. Then many people will thank God when we deliver your gift.

We generally look to ourselves to provide our needs! When we look to God for or needs, He always gives more than enough, in fact He gives us enough so we can give to those in need. I was thinking about this. If God provides all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19) why do I need more? Others can go to Him and He will supply -Provide- all there needs. Then it hit me, others who don't know Him in the area of their need, are the ones in need of my extra. Others may have the extra in an area I haven't fully come to know God in.  All my needs are supplied with extra but I just haven't realized they are on the table waiting for me.  All  our physical, emotional and spiritual needs can be meet if we would look to God, He will send others to help us along they way. once He has supplied in an area of our lives then we can get extra to help others, then once they have gotten theirs they can help others. So with God in our lives all things are possible.  Today take your abundance and share with others, allow them to share with you.

Daily Vitamin -"Prompted"

Prompted
2 Peter 1:19-21(TMSG)

19We couldn’t be more sure of what we saw and heard—God’s glory, God’s voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You’ll do well to keep focusing on it. It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts.
20The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion.
21And why? Because it’s not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God’s Word.

We have the old saying the devil made me do it, could we say he prompted me to do it. A lot of the times our flesh or human nature will prompt us into doing things that later we regret. I have never regretted something that I knew the Holy Spirit prompted me to do. A lot of times He (the Holy Spirit) gets the blame or God for stupid things we do. We'll say things like "you know brother the spirit lead (prompted) me to do it, I didn't want to but God made me"  In truth God was a million miles away. There are many things the Spirit will prompt us to do, not just prophecy sometimes he might ask you to give someone a word of encouragement, or a bottle of water, maybe buy someone diners or there groceries at the store. I say all this to say don't make something up and blame it on God saying he told you to do it. As you read the scriptures above realize when God speaks they aren't things just made up in a humans mind. They are from God! And guess what everyone around knows it. We don't fool others. So today listen for His promptings and act on them. As your being a blessing Today

Daily Vitamin -"Rest"

Rest

Hebrews 4:8-11(TMSG)

8And so this is still a live promise. It wasn’t canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn’t keep renewing the appointment for “today.”
9The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people.
10God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God.
11So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience.

What a promise that there is a place of rest. We know at the end of the journey we have a place of rest with God. He also told us to rest on the seventh day just as He did. Even the earth needs times of rest, we are told to not plant or work the ground certain years. Farmers have found out by doing this the crops after a time of resting the earth, it will produces even a greater crops. So let us take time on a regular basis and rest so that we may produce a better life for other to enjoy. We were created to have fellowship with God and each other. Take some time and rest in Daddy God

Daily Vitamin - "Law"

Law

Galatians 2:19-21(CEV)
19It was the Law itself that killed me and freed me from its power, so that I could live for God. I have been nailed to the cross with Christ.
20I have died, but Christ lives in me. And I now live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
21
I don’t turn my back on God’s undeserved kindness. If we can be acceptable to God by obeying the Law, it was useless for Christ to die.

Galatians 2:19-21(TMSG)
19What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man.
20Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.

How many times have you tried to do what was right but only find that you mess it it up! The problem we have is the You we need to allow Christ to live in us and through us, instead of trying to keep a list of rules, regulations and laws. Our natural beings want to "Just Do It" and our Spirit being wants Christ to do it (His Nature in us)  Today take some time, make a list of the Laws you are trying to keep and can't. Then sit down with Daddy God and ask Him to to really live in and through you, to allow Him full control allowing Him to "Do It" in you. Once in for all realizing that Christ gave up His role in heaven, came to the earth (natural realm) in an physical body. Then He fulfilled the law for you, so you could have one on one relationship with God.

Be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

HELP SAVE OUR FOOD BANK!

 Press Release:

      A Miracle in the Works

Mansfield Community Rallies to: HELP SAVE OUR FOOD BANK!

Harvesting International Ministry Center (HIM Center) is large food bank and food pantry that has served the Mansfield area for the last dozen years -- since 1999.  Even a decade prior to that, its current president Gregory Dewbrew was serving the hungry in Mansfield, beginning way back in 1989 at Living Word Outreach.  So for two decades now Dewbrew and the HIM Center have been meeting the needs of the less fortunate in our town.

In fact, their impact is felt way beyond the borders of Mansfield. The HIM Center is also a major distributor of food to the hungry throughout North Texas.  They not only give free food directly to hundreds of individuals each month in Mansfield (that’s what a food pantry does), but they also sell food for pennies on the pound to other food pantries and ministries throughout the region who in turn distribute it to the needy (that’s what a food bank does).

Each year they distribute between 3 and 5 million pounds of food. Thanks to Dewbrew and the HIM Center, literally millions upon millions of pounds of food have been collected and distributed to Mansfield families in need over the past decade. So without their presence in our town, thousands of families in our area would go hungry.

When you give food to people it ministers to more than their stomachs!  Just ask one of Him Center’s volunteers named Joann.  She is always excited to share how 15 years ago her family was out of work and on the verge of disaster.  Dewbrew found her walking on the side of the road, gave their family food, and helped get them back on their feet.  Since then she has volunteered regularly at HIM Center, and she just beams as she shares how Gregory and the ministry has continued to inspire and encourage her all these years. – And that is just one of countless stories of Mansfield families who have been rescued because of our food bank.

Now, without your help, their presence in our community could be lost.  The HIM Center lost its lease last July, and that is huge deal.  When you give away nearly two-thirds of your product and sell the rest at only pennies on the pound, there is no way to afford the cost of large commercial warehouse space.  This food bank has been able to continue all these years because of the generosity of their current landlord, Richard Geist of Kent Associates.

For the past dozen years, Geist graciously allowed the food bank to operate out his warehouse at 560 Easy Drive.  For many of those years, he charged them no rent at all. In more recent years, he has asked only for a very modest sum.  However, Kent Associates has grown and Geist is in need of his warehouse back.

This truly has become a local crisis. The food bank will shut down if it does not have adequate warehouse space from which to operate.  This is a crisis that could affect our entire region as more and more people are seeking the assistance of food banks in these tough economic times.  And this is the exact time our community needs to rally around and support the less fortunate.  It is the responsibility of our business community to keep the community healthy, and as individuals we all know that the next person in need of food could be our brother or our sister… or even ourselves with just one layoff.

Thankfully a miracle is in the works and you can be a part of it!!  The Mansfield community is rallying together to help SAVE OUR FOOD BANK!!  It started when two angels-with-skin-on pledged to raise two hundred thousand dollars if Mansfield Cares, another local charity, would raise the remaining money needed to build a suitable facility for the HIM Center on its property at the corner of Broad Street and 6th Avenue.

And Mansfield Cares has risen to the challenge!  But they need your help!

Mansfield Cares is an amazing charity that was created by a widely diverse group of caring citizens for the purpose of providing help to the economically challenged citizens of Mansfield.  Their goal is to be the “safety net” of Mansfield; so they work with various local charities by providing money to meet needs that they cannot.  Not only do they raise funds for a variety of local causes, but they have provided the community with a free medical clinic at the Linda Nix Family Caring Place.  This Mansfield Cares clinic is already located on the same property as the proposed warehouse for HIM Center’s food bank.

Richard Geist, in his continued generosity, has given the HIM Center an extension to stay until the end of October pending the construction of the facility by Mansfield Cares.

Time is of the essence.  October is fast approaching and construction needs to begin.  Mansfield Cares has already obtained building plans and permits… they are just in need of further funding.  The $200,000 pledge will meet about half the cost of the cost of the facility… but they are in need of approximately another $200,000.

Please help SAVE OUR FOOD BANK!!  The Mansfield community is rallying together!!  Every single small donation adds up.  So please don’t hesitate to give whatever you can.  And of course there is a great need for a few more angels-with-skin-on to come to the rescue!!

Donations can be sent to Mansfield Cares, 990 Hwy. 287, #106-185, Mansfield , TX  76063.  You can also give online at ManfieldCares.Org.  Be sure to mark your donation with “Save Our Food Bank.”

Daily Vtamin - "Ordinary"

Ordinary

Romans 12:1(TMSG)
1So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

1 Corinthians 7:29-31(TMSG)
29I do want to point out, friends, that time is of the essence. There is no time to waste, so don’t complicate your lives unnecessarily. Keep it simple—in marriage,
30grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things—your daily routines of shopping, and so on.
31Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out.

We think that everyday going's and comings are not important to God. but the truth is He is just as concerned with our week day's as he is our Sunday's. We at times can only focus on sunday, not wanting to wait till then to see our more special friends, our special worship, or thinking God will be there on sunday so i can get a touch or a healing. He is waiting patiently every moment of every day for us to come to Him to just hang out with Him. that's why He created us in the begining. Start today and give Him your ordinary moments of each and every day, ask Daddy God to go with you on this journey we call life!

Be a blessing, Sir Gregory

The sacredness of ordinary

Rejoicing in ordinary things is not sentimental or trite. It actually takes guts. Each time we drop our complaints and allow everyday good fortune to inspire us, we enter the warrior's world. We can do this even at the most difficult moments. Everything we see, hear, taste, and smell has the power to strengthen and uplift us.

Daily Vitamin - "Love"

Love

1 John 4:7-10(TMSG)

7My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God.
8The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love.
9This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him.
10This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.

On this day that such a terrible thing happened ten years ago, let us not forget that Love is what our lives are all about. Take time today and repair the breech that life has created between you and God, then repair the one between you and others. This way you can be effective in showing His love to others on this day that we remember as such a tragic day. Now is the day and now is the hour for God's Love to rule through out the earth.

Be a Blessing , Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Body"

Body

1 Corinthians 9:24-27(CEV)
24You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win!
25 Athletes work hard to win a crown that cannot last, but we do it for a crown that will last forever.
26I don’t run without a goal. And I don’t box by beating my fists in the air.
27I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I won’t lose out after telling the good news to others.

In verse 27 Paul says I keep my body under control, he didn't say i keep me under control! That's because he was not his body, just like we are not our body. We are spiritual beings living in a temporary shelter. It's time we really get this, I mean really get this, maybe I should say it again really get this. If we were going to compete in any competition whether that be a race or a debate, we would take time to either train or study the subject. so why don't we take the time and study or get to know the one or ones we will spend eternity with. We will spend millions of dollars on our looks but won't take the time to learn about ourselves let alone about Jesus! It should not be! I'm not saying we shouldn't take care of our shelter but lets work on the inside also!

Today realize you are a spiritual being, take control of your fleshly desires and spend time with the inner you. be a blessing, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Flesh"

Flesh

Romans 8:5-6(NKJV)

5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24(TMSG)
23May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ.
24The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, He’ll do it!

If we could ever really get it that we are spirit beings more than flesh. I tend to think of us as a caterpillar. We live for a time in a flesh cocoon just for a season the bulk of our being will live in a spirit realm. So why do we rely on our feelings so much? Do we believe that God will do what He says  he will do?  I think most of the time we don't. He (God) created all of this, so couldn't he take care of us? He made us to be like Him. Lets take time to learn what that is. We studied last night that its not about the answer but about the question. Who is God to you today not tomorrow or yesterday but today. once we can focus there maybe we truly can walk and live by the Spirit and not the flesh.

Be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Blessed"

Blessed

Ephesians 1:3(NLT)
3All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

When we read this do we just read it and saw oh! how nice, or do we read it like it is. Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. That is a past tense statement it has already happened. So why are we always asking for this gift or that gift? Do we believe it or just hope that Jesus saved us? We believe it right! Then why don't we believe He has already given us every spiritual gift. It is like we have a table full of presents that are ours but we never open them. we would never do that, but when it comes to the things of God we step back and don't really believe. Use the Faith you have been given to believe you are saved with  and start to believe all the gifts are yours.

Step up to the table today and unpack all the gifts. So you may be a bigger blessing to those around you, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Stood"

Stood

2 Timothy 4:16-18(NKJV)
16At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.
17But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

2 Timothy 4:16-18(TMSG)
16At my preliminary hearing no one stood by me. They all ran like scared rabbits. But it doesn’t matter—
17the Master stood by me and helped me spread the Message loud and clear to those who had never heard it. I was snatched from the jaws of the lion!
18God’s looking after me, keeping me safe in the kingdom of heaven. All praise to Him, praise forever! Oh, yes!

Ever felt alone in what your doing? Like all those that said they were with you, forgot what they they told you! All through the scriptures this seemed to happen. All left Jesus several times, now we see all left Paul. The interesing thing is that both made a statement. that it may not be held against them.
Jesus used the words Forgive them for they don't know what they are doing. Can we forget that others promise to go with us, then when things seem to get or get tough they walk or run away. then when all is good they seem to show back up! Jesus said He will never leave us nor forsake us. When things are tough and no one is standing with you, remeber those words that He will never leave you, and that He will stick closer than a brother to you.

Remember as a believer Christ is always there! Be a blessing today, Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - 'Walked"

Walked

Genesis 5:24(TMSG)
24Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him.

Genesis 6:9(TMSG)
9This is the story of Noah: Noah was a good man, a man of integrity in his community. Noah walked with God.

We know that Adam & Eve also walked with God, and many more are mentioned throughout the Bible. We even have song written about walking with God. How many of us have really given it much thought? We ask people in our Christianize (is that really a word) hows your walk with Christ going. do we even get it? Enoch walked and was no more, Noah walked with God and saved the human race. So how can we really understand what a walk with God would be like or even look like? I believe a walk with God would be with Him on our minds continually. That at any minute of the day his name or a thought would be right there in every thing we do. There is so many more examples thought the scriptures of those who walked with God. it would take days to talk about.

Today make an effort to take a walk with Daddy God. and be a blessing Sir Gregory

Daily Vitamin - "Word"

Word

Colossians 3:15-17(TMSG)
15Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness.
16Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God!
17Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.

Do we let the word/s of Christ dwell in us, to make rooms in our lives? a lot of times we say we believe something but our actions tell a different story. If we really believe the word we do as  James 1:22 says"Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! or in the NKJV " But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves"

Let us take to heart the word of God today and not just say we believe. Act on his word today and be a blessing,Sir Gregory

Something worth reading

Excerpted from The Thorn in the Flesh (Charisma House, 2004). By RT Kendall

When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors. ... invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. Luke 14:12-14

I would think that a great sign of God's approval and anointing on any church is to see it filled with people with all kinds of handicaps, whether deaf, blind, or in wheelchairs. The reason is because such people obviously feel welcome. The word gets out that this church wants—and needs—the disabled. They know they will be treated with dignity and respect. People everywhere want to spend time with them; they will come and talk to them!

Do you do that at your church? Or do you hurry to be with the people you already know? God wants His church to include everybody. It's not just pain, difficulty, or the inconvenience; the real problem is the way disabled people are marginalized and cast aside.

There is more than one kind of handicap, and there are obviously various degrees of being disabled. There are generally two kinds of disabled people: those who are born disabled and those whose handicap affects them later in life.

Others become disabled through illness. This can happen to any of us. It can happen through an accident, or it may be the gradual loss of our hearing or sight. The loss of the use of limbs can be anyone's experience.

But there is another kind of handicap, mental impairment, those born with mental limitations. It may be a low IQ or those born with Down's syndrome. There are those who have a learning disability, such as dyslexia. Some lose the ability to think clearly. It may come from an accident, from an operation, or from senility—perhaps Alzheimer's disease.

Such people often love the Lord Jesus Christ with deepest devotion, but they wonder what's wrong with them. And yet God allows this because He has a purpose in it all. He loves us so much, and what is often seen as a negative in this life will be seen in the opposite way when we get to heaven.
